Cancelled the Zomato order but previously ordered NON-VEG many times..!!

When the police investigated the case they found: The person who cancelled the Zomato order just for the reason of the Zomato delivery boy being muslim had previously ordered non-veg many times and even the delivery boy was non-hindu.

The case has got deepened when the police checked the records of Zomato with the person (Mr. Amit Shukla) cancelling the order and found out that he had previously ordered non-veg food many times from Zomato. The records of his past history with food orders shown that he even had ordered non-veg Hyderabadi Biryani etc as well before with Zomato. At that point of time, he had no issues with them.

Now we may tell you this case had started when the Zomato delivery boy was on the verge of his delivery when Mr. Amit Shukla saw the name of the delivery boy and he was a muslim. Then he texted Zomato’s customer care chat executive and demanded a change of delivery boy delivering his order just because his religion is not hindu and he can’t take the order because “Shravan month” is going on.

The customer care executive found it completely unreasonable excuse to ask for a change in delivery boy just for his religion and told him properly that no refund will be provided if he cancelled his order. The case might had been closed up till here if Pt. Amit Shukla had not gone for tweeting regarding this incident. He had tweeted :

"Just cancelled an order on Zomato they allocated a non hindu rider for my food they said they can't change rider and can't refund on cancellation I said you can't force me to take a delivery I don't want don't refund just cancel." He even said that he will talk to his advocate regarding this matter.

Upon asked by PTI, the delivery boy says, "Haan hurt to hue hai. Ab kya bolenge sir, ab log jaisa bolenge..sahi hai is par kya kar sakte hai gareeb log hai... sahna padega sir “. “(Yes I feel hurt. What can I say sir, whatever people say...it’s okay what I can do in it... we are poor, we will have to suffer)".

In reply to this tweet, Zomato had tweeted :

Zomato won the hearts of millions with this tweet. Even Zomato’s founder sir Mr. Deepinder Goyal came out to say: "We are proud of the idea of India - and the diversity of our esteemed customers and partners. We aren't sorry to lose any business that comes in the way of our values."

Now uber eats is also coming in support of Zomato and they said "we are standing by your side".

Even before this, Amit Shukla had tweeted vulgar comments upon actresses Priyanka Chopra and Tasleema Nasreen.

After all this incident, Police had stricted warned Amit Shukla that if any more incident occurs like this, then it’s going to be very dangerous for him and this case has been handled to SDM for restricting.
